BERL research has revealed that museums and galleries play a critical, but often overlooked, role in conserving cultural capital in Aotearoa

This year, BERL was commissioned by Museums Aotearoa to measure the value of museums and galleries in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our research revealed that although museums and galleries provide their services free to the public, this hides the considerable value of the cultural capital which these institutions protect and conserve.
