You can use year range and industry filters to hone in on specific data points and trends that matter most to you. All data is summed by year using the latest available month. For instance, if March is the latest month available, the data will be presented for the March year. All data is collected from Infoshare.
Indicators include:
- GDP values: The data for production GDP is derived from the GDP - production measure chain-volume series, expressed in 2009/10 prices. This includes seasonally adjusted total values for each quarter (March, June, September, December). On the other hand, the expenditure GDP data comes from the GDP – expenditure measure, which is also seasonally adjusted and presented in nominal terms for each quarter.
- Annual change in GDP: This graph uses the same data as the 'GDP Values' graph but presents how much the GDP changes each year. It provides a clear view of the annual economic growth or contraction.
- Industry ranking by GDP: The data for this graph is sourced from the GDP(P) chain volume series, seasonally adjusted for various industry groups on a quarterly basis. This graph ranks industries based on their cumulative GDP over the years, and hovering over the bars will show each industry's contribution to the total productivity GDP.
- Industry-specific GDP values: Using the same data as the 'Industry Ranking by GDP' graph, this visualisation shows the GDP values over the years for a particular industry based on the selected filter.
- Industry-specific annual change in GDP: Similar to the 'Industry-Specific GDP Values' graph, this one presents how much the GDP changes annually for a specific industry.
