Nick is an experienced consultant, who has delivered a wide range of economic and policy projects across the public and private sector.
With over 10 years’ experience, Nick specialises in economic and social research, particularly the evaluation of the impacts and outcomes of economic and policy interventions. He has led several projects at BERL where frameworks were developed to incorporate wellbeing into economic analysis and decision-making.
Nick enjoys the opportunity to meet clients and stakeholders, understand their needs, and help them make a difference for their communities, regions and the country. Nick has led and worked on projects for a variety of clients, including the European Commission; private sector businesses; and local, regional, and central government departments in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Economic impact assessments and regulatory impact statements to estimate the impacts and outcomes of activities, policies, projects, or programmes
Economic strategy development, including, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and trends, and developing a long-term vision with objectives and milestones
Wellbeing analysis to include environmental, social, and cultural wellbeing outcomes in economic assessments
