It has been a long damp winter but that has not dented our tourism numbers with visitors flocking to (almost) 100% pure New Zealand. With the August visitor numbers released, rounding out the winter months, we can finally see if the rain, wind and countless landslips have made foreign travellers reconsider their plans.
Immigration has been a hot topic in the recent election and it is no secret that net migration has been increasing over the past few years.

General Elections are supposed to be won or lost because the economy has performed well or badly (hence the “it’s the economy, stupid” remark, often wrongly attributed to former US President Clinton).
